Graduate Students Volunteer for a mission!
On Saturday, September 27th graduate students, in conjunction with Duke University Basketball Campout Community Service 2014,
Duke Students volunteer at DCSL
joined DCSL Executive Director to pull weeds, grass and anything else that did not belong in the garden area in front of Durham Center for Senior Life’s building. The garden was established in October 2009 with the help of many individuals, organizations, and most importantly, volunteers. In speaking with one of the volunteers, a secret mission was unearthed: All of the students participating in the Campout were asked to volunteer for community work. In this case, a reward for their efforts was a chance to win lottery tickets for the opportunity to get seating for the North Carolina vs. Duke basketball game.

The Durham Center for Senior Life agency appreciates all of the volunteers’ hard work. As for the basketball game, may the better team win.
